KEEPER
About:
The KEEPER had an intriguing origin story. While the twin fin craze captivated our attention, the KEEPER remained untouched, gathering dust for months. Originally designed as a high-performance board for good waves, with the option for quad fins, the KEEPER soon proved to be one of my most versatile boards.
Outline:
The board's outline features a wide nose combined with a low entry nose rocker. This unique combination allows for a shorter board without sacrificing drive and the ability to maneuver tightly. Additionally, it enhances paddling efficiency, making it that much easier to catch waves.
Rocker:
The middle and tail of the board possess ample rocker, perfect for handling critical sections of waves. Although the entry rocker is low, there is a significant amount of nose flip, which allows for a generous volume distribution, providing buoyancy and an aesthetically pleasing sleek appearance.
Bottom contours:
The KEEPER incorporates subtle and shallow single into double concaves, offering exceptional drive and control off the bottom.
Rails:
The board features full and round rails in the middle section to maintain a consistent and flowing speed, transitioning into low, sleek rails towards a thicker front. The tail's fine rails ensure maximum bite in optimal wave conditions.
Conclusion:
Intended to be ridden 1-2 inches shorter than a standard shortboard while maintaining the same width, the KEEPER also allows for a slightly thicker profile if desired. It comes standard as a pin tail with 5 fin plugs.
